Install the code generator.
Start the code generator and you will be prompted to install the code generation library. The code generation library is a collection of code generation templates, JavaScript files, images and CSS stylesheet files. The list of premium and free projects will be displayed when the installation of the code generation library has been completed.
Select Web Site Builder in the menu and follow the instruction in the project wizard to create your project. If you do have Microsoft Visual Studio or Microsoft Visual Web Developer installed on your computer then the generated project will start in a browser when the code generation has been completed. The application will look similar to the ones in the pictures on this page.

A fly-over login window allows sign-in, signing up for a new account, and recovering a forgotten password.
2. Signed-in user is greeted with a customizable "Welcome" message displayed on an automatically positioned membership bar available at the top of the screen.

3. A convenient new account self sign-up feature may save time and make life easier for site administrators. The link to sign up is available in the fly-over login window.
4. Forgotten password recovery is always a pain. ASP.NET membership provides an API to help users of your web site with password recovery. Membership premium project offers a convenient password recovery wizard.
First user is asked to enter the login name.
If a user account is found then the password recovery process moves to the next stage and secret question must be answered. If a correct answer is provided then ASP.NET Membership will generate a random password and an email with a new password is sent to the address on file.
5. Signed-in users are able to change their password, email address, and password recovery question and answer without ever approaching the site administrator. A quick access link on the membership bar allows changing user account settings.
6. Another valuable feature of the membership bar is the Help button displayed in the top right corner of your pages. A help page matching to the page currently loaded in a browser is displayed upon user request. The help box stays put even when a user is scrolling the page up and down.
