Database Lookups is a standard code generator project that allows to replace standard ASP.NET controls DropDownList and ListBox used by database web application developers to display and select lookup values.

No programming is required. The configuration is done via
data controllers that are included in the source code of your application. There are no external dependencies in the code.
Syntax compatible with
DropDownList,
RadioButtonList, and
ListBox controls. There is no need to have a dedicated DataSourceControl for dynamic no-code data retrieval.
- The framework and demo application can be generated in Visual C# or Visual Basic.NET. There are no external dependencies. Complete source code is provided. You can also change the code generator templates if you feel that additional capabilities are needed. All code generator templates are included.
The generated application source code is an ASP.NET 3.5 web site that can be opened in
Visual Studio 2008 or
Visual Web Developer Express 2008. You can download the free

User interface of the generated application is rendered by java script components based on ASP.NET AJAX Extensions 3.5 and Ajax Control Toolkit.
